Jinjuseong Fortress is a place where the history and culture of Jinju are preserved. Inside the fortress, you'll find Chokseongnu Pavilion, Bukjangdae Command Post, and the Jinju National Museum. The Battle of Jinju, one of the three major battles during the Japanese Invasion of Korea, took place here. Jinju is also famous for Nongae, who sacrificed herself by dragging a Japanese admiral into the Namgang River.
